Working draft — the wording has not yet been approved by the operator or by a lawyer.
Personal data protection
This page explains what happens to the data you give us when you book a vehicle inspection or write to us. It is written so that a person can understand it — not as a list of references to legal provisions.
Who works with your data
The controller is the one who decides why and how your data is processed. For the CarInspect service that is:
CARINSPECT s. r. o., Dvojrad 348/28, 930 25 Vrakúň, IČO 57 185 972, Obchodný register Okresného súdu Trnava, oddiel Sro, vložka č. 60534/T.
On matters of personal data you can reach us on +421 908 84 08 95 or +421 919 49 19 59 and at objednavky@carinspect.sk.
You can also write to us by post at our registered office: CARINSPECT s. r. o., Dvojrad 348/28, 930 25 Vrakúň.
What data we hold about you
From the booking form on this site:
- first name and surname,
- telephone number and email address — one of them is enough, but we need at least one,
- the municipality and address where the inspection is to take place,
- your preferred date and time,
- vehicle details: make and model, year of manufacture, type of drivetrain and, optionally, the VIN,
- the package you chose, any additional battery measurement and the calculated price.
- your note, if you write one to us in the form.
The VIN is the vehicle serial number, not a detail about a person. But when the car is yours, it can lead indirectly back to you — so we handle it just as carefully as the rest of the data. The VIN is optional in the form.
From a conversation with the assistant in the bottom right corner we process the text of the question you write. We advise against writing your birth number, ID document number or other sensitive details into it — the telephone is there for that.
We automatically process the IP address of your connection, and only in order to limit the number of submissions from one place. It is protection against the form being flooded, not tracking.
This site uses no analytics and no advertising tools, so we collect nothing about what you do on the site, where you click and where you came from. The details are on the Cookies page.
Why we need the data and how long we keep it
| Purpose | Legal basis | How long |
|---|---|---|
| To handle the inspection booking — agree the time, place and price, come to you and hand over the report | Performance of a contract and steps taken before it is concluded (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) | 24 months from completion of the inspection — that is how long liability for defects in the service lasts. An enquiry that did not lead to a booking is deleted within 12 months at the latest. |
| To issue and keep an accounting document | Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) | 10 years following the year to which the accounting document relates (§ 35(3)(c) of Act No. 431/2002 Coll. on accounting). |
| To answer a question written to the assistant | Legitimate interest — answering the person who asks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | The conversation is stored only in your browser and disappears when you close the tab. We do not store it. |
| To protect the form against misuse (IP address) | Legitimate interest — security of the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) | In the server memory for at most 24 hours, then the counter is deleted. |
The booking leaves the form by email to the operator and is at the same time saved into the booking list that is part of this site’s administration — only the logged-in operator can open it. Once the period in the table above has passed, the record is deleted automatically. The only thing written into the operational log is whether the email was sent successfully; your name, telephone number and email are not in it. Your IP address is not stored with the booking.
Do you have to give us your data?
No. No law requires you to. But without a name and at least one contact detail we have no way to confirm a time with you, so we cannot accept a booking without them. Everything else — the VIN, the exact address, a preferred time — makes our work easier, but is not a condition.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your data and we do not send it to anyone for advertising. It reaches only those without whom the service would not work:
| Who | What for | Where they are based |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA | Runs the server the site runs on and the store that holds the booking list | USA — the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses |
| Plus Five Five, Inc. (the Resend service), 2261 Market Street #5039, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA | Delivers your booking to the operator by email | USA — standard contractual clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework |
Whoever keeps the operator's accounts also has access to the data on accounting documents, as do the authorities to which the law requires us to disclose them — for example the tax administration.
The data needed for the inspection — name, contact details, place, time and vehicle details — go to the technician who carries out the inspection.
The assistant in the bottom right corner answers from prepared replies directly on our server — the text of your question is not passed on to anyone. We verified this on 1 October 2026, in the code and directly on the website.
We protect the form against bots without any third-party service — by limiting the number of submissions and by checks run directly on our server. The Cloudflare Turnstile verification service, which the site has ready, is switched off and is not loaded.
What you can do about your data
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy of it,
- correct data that is wrong or incomplete,
- erase data we no longer need,
- restrict the processing until a dispute about the accuracy of the data is settled,
- hand the data over to you in a common format, or send it elsewhere,
- stop processing data where we rely on a legitimate interest — there you have the right to object.
Just call +421 908 84 08 95 or +421 919 49 19 59 or write to objednavky@carinspect.sk. We will reply as soon as we can, and within one month at the latest.
If you think we are handling your data wrongly, you can complain to the supervisory authority: Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky (Data Protection Authority of the Slovak Republic), Galvaniho Business Centrum II, Galvaniho 7/B, 821 04 Bratislava, tel. +421 2 32 31 32 14, dataprotection.gov.sk.
Automated decision-making
Nothing concerning you is decided by a machine on its own. The price of the inspection is worked out by a calculator, but the time and the inspection itself are arranged and carried out by a person. We do not profile you and we do not build any scores about you.
How the data is protected
- the connection to the site is fully encrypted (HTTPS),
- the booking is stored in a non-public store — only the logged-in operator can reach it, and once the retention period passes it is deleted by itself,
- the text you write into the form is shortened and cleaned before it is sent, so that the server cannot be misused through it,
- only a limited number of bookings can be sent from one connection per day.
When this wording changes
If what we do with the data changes, we will change this page too and state a new date. We recommend looking at it before you book.
Text as at 1 October 2026.
