Buying a used car is often the second largest investment in a person's life, right after property. The moment you sign the contract and hand over the cash or send the bank transfer, the tables turn. Later claims about hidden defects tend to be drawn out, mentally exhausting and often unsuccessful in court.
A measured finding is documented paper, not an impression
When you come to the seller saying that “something doesn't sound right with the engine” or that the car “looks a bit knocked about”, the seller easily brushes your arguments aside as a layman's impressions.
